The original footage for this project was captured throughout the day of Sept. 13th, 2001. Gathered from over 70 television stations, this video highlights the strangeness of those days of transition. By resequencing snippets of popular media, I created a piece that reveals the emotion, irony, tackiness, and shock of the post Sept. 11th American landscape. Poised at the moment when television stations were cautiously returning to their normal broadcast material, the documentary is full of awkward and disturbing transpositions that reflect the stratagies of the media at the time.
