Luminous Textures - 1999-2001
Using multiple layers of translucent and partially reflective fabrics, I projected a series of slide photographs using a dissolve unit to blend between frames. This is a very atmospheric piece where the images fragment into a beautiful abstraction of shimmering color and light, creating a ghostly 3D quality. The images mostly macroscopic and abstracted. This piece was shown at a variety of locations in the United States, from outdoor festivals to indoor events and installations.
