Crystal Palace/Firetown - Burning Man 2000
The Crystal Palace Costume Ball and Fundraiser took place in spring of 2000 to help fund the artists and theme camp of Firetown for the Burning Man Festival of that year. I directed and planned the event, as well as helped coordinate plans for the camp. Our group had over forty participating artists who ranged from marching band troupes to live video projection artists to fire sculptors. Several of the art projects produced were featured events at burning man, including a flaming water fountain and man-made fire tornado.
