Accretion is a complex, collaborative project that involved several stages of development and research to rearch fruition. These images were created by artistic re-interpretation of actual motion-captured movement of choreograhy that was created with and performed by Heather Raikes. We recorded the data at the University of Washington mocap lab, and then processed the information so the motion is extruded over time. Each image represents a sequence in a series of eight, each designed to represent a different encapsulation of a gesteral moment.
